No nidaq32.lib found

I am trying to run the sample codes from the NI website in VS 2005. But I am getting error saying that nidaq32.lib not found. I have installed all the drivers and still was not able to see the file in my harddisk. Can somebody tell me what to do?

Exactly which drivers did you install and what DAQ board do you have? That file is part of traditional DAQ. That driver has been replaced with DAQmx for newer (i.e. M series) DAQ boards.

Thank you for the prompt reply. The card which I am using is the NI PCI-6220. I have installed the DAQmx 8.3 driver. Is there anything else I need to install?

No, just don't run any examples that use the traditional NI-DAQ driver. Only use examples that use DAQmx.

Hello Jkocherry,

Thanks for Contacting National Instruments.

Without the Traditional DAQ driver, it is not possible to run any examples that make use of the Traditional DAQ driver.  Furthermore, the PCI 6220 is an M Series card.  National Instruments M Series cards cannot be used with Traditional DAQ and can only be used with DAQmx.

DAQmx includes several shipping examples for various text based programming languages.  You can find the path for these examples from the Measurement Studio help.  This help should be located in the path Start->Program Files->National Instruments->NI-DAQ->NI-DAQmx .NET Framework 2.0 Help.  The Where to Find Examples section will list the examples path for your current version of DAQmx.
