Hello,
Today, I again encountered a problem with NI-PCI-4472 cards/boards, which I amoust forgot: The setting is, that I measure an IEPE (ICP)-powered accelerometer. The IEPE-current ist supplied by the 4472-card. What I find is, that on channel ai0 I have a much bigger noisefloor than with all other channels. Looking at the raw signal one can see, that at ai0 there are some "bumps" of about 2 mV-amplitude and about 150 ms length (that means at frequencies <10 Hz). Strangely this happens only with IEPE-supply on and at channel ai0. To avoid any suspicions: The IEPE-sensor ist perfectly o.k. and was totally at rest.
I have seen this phenomen several times before and on different cards/boards and with different sensors, so it's not a singular failure nor is ist some bug of the my special measurement-setup of today.
Does anybody know something abot this low-frequency noise? Is it a maybe known issue?
Thank you, Normann

Review the following link on how to measure the Noise Floor for the Dynamic Signal Acquisition & Analyzer (DSA) Boards.
-Ciao.
