PCI 6014, unconventional driver installation directory

Hello,
I am using PCI 6014 and Labview 7.0. Due to the lack of free space in C:, I had to install DAQmx in D:. Then it seems that DAQmx cannot find PCI-6014. To be specific, in Measurement & Automation Exploration, PCI-6014 appeared under tranditional DAQ. I tried to add a new DAQmx card, but could not find it. Becasuse of this, the DAQassist cannot find any supported devices. I am wondering if there is an easy way to make DAQmx work without installing it in the default C: disk.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Hi Liu,

Installing the DAQmx drivers to a different drive should not be a problem. I would recommend keeping all NI software installed in the same drive and directory. I would try uninstalling your PCI-6014 from the Windows Device Manager. Then restart your computer and let Windows find the hardware and automatically find the correct drivers again. Let me know how this goes and if you have any questions.

Thanks,
