PCI 6251 not recognized by MAX (Windows 7)

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi:

I installed a DAQ PCI 6251 in a PC that I use for Real Time and Windows. In RT the card is recognized and works well. But in Windows 7 it is not recognized by the Device Manager and it does not appear in MAX. I had a PCI 6014 before and had no problems with it. The computer has LabVIEW 2009 SP1 and I don't know which NI DAQmx version I have. Could you please tell me how can I know which DAQmx driver version I have installed and if I update the DAQmx drivers will my PC 6251 will be recognized?

Thank you!

Never mind, I asked Device Manager to search by itself for the latest drivers and the problem was fixed.

Thanks!

The only thing here, you need to take care with the version of LabVIEW and the version of DAQmx that you are installing. Because not all of the DAQmx version are supported by all of the LV versions.

Here is an interesting KB about it!!

Always check this out before any DAQmx instalation!!
