PCI-DIO-96 output signal

Hi,

I'm a LabVIEW beginner. I would like to send out (output) a signal (in the picture below) 10 times. I use LabVIEW 8.2 and my DAQ is the PCI-DIO-96. If anyone know how to do it or a tutorial, example that can help me, please let me know. Thank you very much and have a good day.

I have tried to output a signal by using the example "Handshaking Output-8255.vi". I connected the port0/line0 to a LED and run the program but the LED did not flash at all. Please tell me why I cannot use this example for the PCI-DIO-96 board and how can I make it work. Thank you alot.

What LED? Do you mean an external physical LED or an LED indicator on the LabVIEW front panel.

If you are trying to drive an external LED, are you sure that the DAQ board can actually drive it? I don't know the current spec of the board (it will be in your manual), but I doubt it's enough. You usually have to provide an exteranl current amplifier.

Hi Dennis,

Thank you for replying to my message. Yes, I meant an external LED. I have tried to make 3 LEDs display the numbers 0 to 7 in binary by using the example "Write Dig Port.vi" that I modified and I have connected the 3 LEDs to the Port1/line0, 1 and 2 of the PCI-DIO-96. And it works without any problems. I have measured the output voltage of the PCI-DIO-96, it is 3.7V so it is enough to drive a LED.
