PCI-MIO-16XE (6030E) noise

Hi everyone,

I have multifunctional DAQ PCI-MIO-16XE (6030E). Analog input configured in differencial mode. When I connect just a resistor to one of the input channel I see the noise of 160 uV (p-p) in range of -100 +100 mV.

How can I provide a documented precision? Because I have read in datasheet that the precision is 3,05 uV for this range.

Have you used this device before without issues and only the current setup is giving high levels of noise?

There are a couple of basic checks that you may want to make. Are there other devices or power sources in your test environment that may be contributing noise to the system? Also, the Field Wiring and Noise Considerations for Analog Signals is a very helpful tool when measuring analog signals. Section 6 specifically references how to solve noise issues.
