PCI-e 6259 Self-calibration failed Error -200545

Hello

I installed an unused PCI-e 6259, with an unknown past and the condition.

Card was all rady detect and installed.

I'm used DAQ Diagnostic Utility v2.0

and here is result

Device Type: PCIe-6259

Serial Number: DFF5xx

Device Support: (PASS)

NI-DAQmx Version: 8.9 (PASS)

Device Reset: (PASS)

The device was last self-calibrated on: 10.2.2005 22:16:58

Running Calibration ...   FAILED for the following reason:

Error -200545 occurred at DAQmx Self Calibrate.vi:1

Possible reason(s):

Measurements: Self-calibration failed.  The self-calibration date has not changed.

Disconnect the device from external signals, as they might introduce noise.  Externally calibrate the device to recalibrate the onboard voltage reference that is used for self-calibration.

-------------------- Testing Analog Input... --------------------

Testing AI Ground Reference...   (FAIL)

************ Test FAILED for the following reason ************

Analog Input was not within tolerance for ground reference.  Expected to read: 0,000000  Actually read: 0,062796

*******************************************************

Testing AI Voltage Reference...   (FAIL)

************ Test FAILED for the following reason ************

Analog Input was not within tolerance for reference voltage.    Expected to read: 6,950000  Actually read: 6,269876

-------------------- Testing Analog Output... --------------------

Testing AO Finite Sample Clock...   (FAIL)

************ Test FAILED for the following reason ************

Error -200016 occurred at DAQmx Wait Until Done.vi:1

Possible reason(s):

Measurements: Onboard device memory underflow. Because of system and/or bus-bandwidth limitations, the driver could not write data to the device fast enough to keep up with the device output rate.

Reduce your sample rate, alter the data transfer method (from interrupts to DMA), use a product with more onboard memory, or reduce the number of programs your computer is executing concurrently.

*******************************************************

Testing AO Single Point...   (FAIL)

************ Test FAILED for the following reason ************

This test failed to output 4,000000 Volts on Dev1/ao0.  The actual value written was 3,134933.

*******************************************************

Testing AO Accuracy...   (FAIL)

************ Test FAILED for the following reason ************

This test failed to generate a voltage waveform with an error of less than 0,038104 Volts on Dev1/ao0.  The actual average error was 3,832226 Volts.

*******************************************************

All other test is PASSED and for lucidity I remove it from list.

OS: Windows Vista x64

Not connect cable or other external device

In NI PCI-e-6259 MAX Self Calibration ended same error.

It is my first DAQ,  I begining  with DAQmx and Labview.

Can someone help me?

Is card or her analog part demaged or only is need external calibration?

What should I do

Advance thanks

K.

Resolved , partially.

On the card was break off coil in circuit of power.

I  change this coil and all test is OK excepting error 200016 (buffer underflow).  ´

Please advice how to deal with error 20016.
My MB is ASUS P5Q-VM Intel G45 and CPU CD8300, 4GB RAM and OS Vista 64

Hi,

You can try the following actions to solve error -200016

  • Changing the transfer mechanism to IRQ will generally yield better results.
  • USB and PCIe devices do not exhibit a performance hit.
  • Adding an external start trigger will allow the transfer to complete in time.
  • If you do not want to use a start trigger, you can use the Start.Delay DAQmx Trigger property to add a small delay between the internal start trigger and the first sample clock.

You mention a coil replacement.

What I could find is a fuse in the 12 Volt power source from the pc which seems to have broken.

Was it this you replaced ( If you still can remember ) ?
