PCIe-6251 on Mac Pro w/ OS X?

I'm looking to get a PCIe-6251 running under OS X on an Intel Mac Pro and having no luck.  From the scarce documentation I can find and this thread I believe the card should be supported w/ the latest version of NI-DAQmx Base, but it never seems to get recognized.  I've tried the card in several machines (running either 10.4.9 or 10.4.10) with no success.

The card itself is picked up, with System Profiler showing a 'pci-bridge' (vendor 0x104c, device 0x8231) and nothing else.  The Expansion Slot Utility also picks it up, running at maximum speed (as pci1093,717d).  lsdaq doesn't pick up anything.

I've tried all permutations of card first, then software, reverse, etc.  About the only thing I haven't tried yet is a clean install of OS X, but I'd certainly prefer to avoid that.

Suggestions?

Hi Adam,

The next thing I would recommend is trying to get the PCIe-6251 to work on another machine.  Could you try it on a Windows machine (with the DAQmx driver) or a Mac machine that does not use the Intel processor?

Did the PCIe-6251 card ever work on any machine?  When did you receive the device?  Do you have any USB DAQ devices installed?

We need to narrow down whether it is a problem with the PCIe-6251 or the driver.  Keep me posted.
