I have a PCIe-6363 that I'm using that 's close to the overall card current limit, and I'll be adding more devices. I'd like to avoid any brownout or other issues, and so am looking to connect up to the Molex connector on the back.
Now Molex supplies both +5V and +12V. I have some 12V (PCIe) power connectors on the motherboard, and one 5V power connector on the motherboard. So, I can buy an adapter to run power from one or the other. To get both +12V and +5V power, I'd have to custom make some hydra cable, which I'd prefer not to do.
So, does anyone know which pins it pulls power off of to supply the power for the card? It's most likely to use one or the other, but not both...
