Hi there!
I'm completely new to electrical engineering and working with the myDAQ, so please excuse wrong terminology or sloppy technical terms.
Together with the myDAQ I received a fitting breadboard to plug in at the side of the former. Between them is a bridge which should connect the power bus and other terminals to the breadboard. To build a circuit I can either
a) plug in the wires directly into the side of the myDAQ or
b) plug in the breadboard and plug in the wires on the corresponding slot on the breadboard
Option a) works fine for me, but option b) doesn't seem to work for me. For demonstration I used the DMM function of my software to measure the voltage of the 5V power source in my myDAQ. Enclosed you can see 2x3 pictures: The first three show the successfull measurement of the power voltage by directly plugging the DMM in the side of the myDAQ. The second set shows the same thing for option b). The last one shows no successfull reading.
Did I forget something or is my breadboard (the inner wiring in the bridge between the myDAQ and the slots on the breadboard) broken?
Thank you all very much for your answers in advance!

Never mind, there is a "ON" switch for the power source on the breadboard that I missed.

We've all been there in one form or another 🙂

First two things to check...
People laugh when they come to me and I ask them those questions. But every now and then... "oh... uhh, yeah... thanks."

Worked for me 😉

I have a metallic colored sticker that is taped above my desk that reads, 'If at first you don't succeed, try pushing the "On" button.'
I did suspect those 2 switches could be the problem last night when I read your question, but I could not find the specifications for that add-on breadboard to confirm what they did. I saw the Elenco and Sparkfun add ons but not the one from NI. Does that second switch turn on/off the power from the external 3.5mm jack marked for 17 volts max?

It's labelled 'Vext' (ON/OFF). Don't know what it does. But there are two more switches for the +15V and -15V supply.
