Pressure Transducer w/ current output

Hello, I'm trying to figure out how to get a precise pressure coming from cole parmer transducer (68075-18). It has a 4 - 20mA current output and 0 to 100 psi range. I attached the diagram, please let me know what I'm missing. Thanks!

What DAQ card are you using?

I'm using PCI 6024E.

Thanks for your time.

If I remember, the 6024 only has voltage inputs. So you will need a resistor to convert the current into a voltage. For example, a 250ohm resistor will convert th 4-20mA range to a 1-5V signal. The resistor would go across the 2 inputs on your card and configure the input to differential. Set the range to 0-5 volts. The current signal leads go to both ends of the resistor. Resistor should be a precision unit of 1% tolerance or less.I am sure there are full details on this topic with the Developer Zone, short of time to look for you right now.

Hope this helps get you pointed in the right direction.

Hello AnalogKid,

I am using a 2 Axis parker motion controller (6K2) for my project.

I can control the movement of these 2 axes using the MOTION PLANNER to write a program.
I want to use Labview to control the movement of the 2 axis (via the parker controller 6K2) and to take measurements with hot wires.  I use RS232 for communication and Labview 6.1.
Can you help me?
Your help will be appreciated.
Thank so much in advance.
Hachimi
