Hi,
I start recently using NI products in our lab in university. But I have some difficulties.
What I am trying to do is to read pressure data from a PCI 6024E daq card using labview. I am using a pressure transducer with sensitivity of order 20mV/bar.
What I do is I connect my 2 output cable of transducer to the SCB-68 connector block.I excite the transducer with a DC power sourceof 10V (which it needs)And I connect my SCB-68 to PCI 6024E.
The measurement gives nothing.
As an alternative I did this: I connect the output cables to SCC-SG04(http://www.ni.com/pdf/products/us/4daqsc253-265_194-196.pdf) straingage. I fed the transducer with a DC supply again.I placed SCC-SG04 module on SC-2345 Signal conditioner. And I connect SC2345 to PCI 6024E. This time I get response for pressure increase or decrease but this time I have another problem. The readings are in mV. The output of SCC-SG04 and SC2345 should be in the order of Volts . I do not understand what is the problem.
If all wrong, please help to create a meaningful set-up for pressure measurement with a PCI-6024E DAQ card, SCB-68 connector block, SC-2345 signal conditoner with SCC-SG04 modules and pressure transducers.
Thanks
Alper

The connection diagram of the PCI-6024E with the SCB-68 should look like the picture attach (signal connected to AI1). Since this card does not support direct pressure measurements you can work around by setting up a voltage measurement (the closer the input ranges the better resolution you will get) with a custom scale (this will convert the voltage readings to pressure magnitudes).
By the way...If you are not getting any reading at all, it will be a good idea to measure the voltage from a battery using the test panels. If you don't see anything try another channel. This will help filtering out the possibility of a bad setup or a bad channel.
