Problems with sampling at a predefined frequency using AI_Check

I am having problem sampling my data at a predetermined frequency (e.g. 400Hz) using the PCI-6036E.

I have written my VC++ code such that it would go through a list of events when triggered by the internal counter, which is on-board the 6036E. I have hooked up the trigger by making the counter produce a squarewave and having this directly connected to PFI2/Convert (as given in the example code, AIonePointExtConv_Eseries.c). The squarewave will act as the trigger for the collection of analog input. I then used the AI_Check function to determine the sample interval. "readingAvailable" variable from the AI_Check function will be the flag variable that will determine the execution of events that are to o
ccur at the sample frequency.

When I run my code, I get 10845 or 10805 errors and the code doesnt run properly due to it. I would like to know what these errors are and what the difference between them are. Also it would be great if I can get some input on whether I am doing this wrong.

There are two great Knowledge Base articles, which can be found on the www.ni.com website, which explain these errors. You can find information on error codes by going to www.ni.com and typing "+error +10845" in the search box. Of course you don't use the quotes and you can replace 10845 with another error code.

I am getting 10845 errors when I am running the sampling frequency as low as 300Hz. I am think this is way too low of a limit for the computer (1.4GHz) and the board(PCI-6036E). Is there any other things I can try to improve sampling frequency?
