Reading current status of analog output channel

I would like to read the voltage being output by an analog output channel without having to utilize an analog input channel. I am
using a USB 6009 DAQ and I was curious if there was access to internal channels as in other DAQ models that might help me
to accomplish this task.
Thank you.

Egermann,

there is no "loopback" from AO for reading. This is not neccessary since the device should be tested and calibrated (at least in a very general way) before shipping. If you need to know the voltage you are generating, just check for the last written value in your software.

If you have doubt, that the voltage generated is correctly, feel free to take your own measurements with some other device (like handheld DMMs) or any AI. But if the reading does not fit to the value you suspect, there could be several reasons:
a) impedances/shortcircuits
b) drawing too much power
c) noise

hope this helps,
Norbert B.
