Run-time error 10007 - NIDAQ/Visual Basic

Hi,

I have multiple, identical PC systems running NI-4351 PCI cards.  They use Windows XP and custom software written in Visual Basic to interface with NIDAQ Traditional 7.4 and the NI 4351 board.

One of these systems has now continually given me error 10007: "A channel, port, or counter is out of range for the device type or device configuration; or the combination of channels is not allowed; or the scan order must be reversed (0 last).".

Does anyone have any ideas as to why I'm getting this error?  Unfortuantely swapping out the PC (or the NI card) is not possible until later this week for troubleshooting.

Thank you!

Hi ryeung,

I would like to swap the cards to rule out hardware problems.  Since we cannot do that now lets test a couple other things:

Did this card ever work?  If so was there other changes prior to the card not working?

Are you refering to specific channels in your program?  Are both computers running the same program?

Hi Jason, thanks for the reply!

This card did work; however I have arranged to swap out the card already; I was hoping to rule out other options, for example, configuration issues as I checked the Forums and documentation and it looked like more of a software issue.

I am running the same software on multiple, identical systems; it is only this one which is acting up.

I am specifically using only AI channel 0; the remainder are unused.  (I know a lot of the errors come from trying to reference non-existent channels, either because of configuration or mistake.)

If this could be due to a hardware issue, let's wait another day and we'll see whether the hardware swap resolves it.

Thank you!
