SCC-RTD01 acquiring signal problem

Hello

I am trying to setup an SCC-RTD01 module which is plugged into an NI SCC-68 I/O connector block. I have installed the equipment as per NI instructions and I am now trying to practice acquiring signals before I start playing with code to use with my application. Using a Druck signal generator I have simulated a 4 wire configuration input to the RTD module, using MAX to create a new NI DAQmx Task\Acquire Signals\Analogue Input\Temperature\RTD to receive a signal in Test Panel.

The Test Panel shows 0.425 and doesn't change with varied input from the Druck source simulator.

After checking the connections I can't work out why I am not receiving a signal.

I am fairly new to labview and I am picking it up as I go along so it is very possible I have missed out a very simple step.

If anybody could shed any light on this I would be very appreciative

Thanks in advance

Hi Chris,

Just out of interest, have you tested this out in MAX itself to ensure it's the same there as in LabVIEW? Also could you post your LabVIEW code and LabVIEW version so I can look into this problem further for you.

Thanks,

Thanks for your reply Rob,

I have only tried it out in MAX and because I couldn't recieve a signal I haven't tried to use Labview to aquire a signal yet. I am using Labview 8.5. To start I will use the RTD sample code available with NI Example Finder which I have attached.

Hi Chris,

If MAX is unable to see this as well then I'd be fairly confident to put this down to the hardware setup, is the RTD module new and is it known to work? Did the device pass self-test under MAX and do you have anything else you can test this with. Do you have the option to check for correct inputs to the RTD module via a DMM?

All the best,

Applications Engineer
