Self-calibrating the Daqcard 6024E

Solved!

I find I can self-calibrate the Daqcard 6024E using NI-DAQmx. Is this calibration still valid when I then select  "Traditional NIDAQ configuration?

I don't think that Traditional DAQ has this option.  Traditional DAQ hasn't been supported in so long, so unless you are absolutely stuck with it I recommend upgrading to DAQmx.  It is a much better API too.

THanks for your reply.

Yes, I kinda am stuck with it afor the time being. Having said that, if I self-calibrate in NI-DAQ max config. can I be assured that the calibration holds truefor Traditional Config?

I'm pretty sure the self-calibration uses coefficients that are stored on the card.  Therefore, it should stick.

I would still recommend sending it out for professional calibration once a year to make sure the built-in standard is still good.
