Hi,
I have trouble understanding the Sensitivity value in the product specifications multifunctional DAQ-devices. For example in the specifications of USB621x-devices on page 4 it is stated that for +/-10V range the sensitivity is 91.6uV. It is also said that there the sensitivity refers to "the smallest voltage change that can be detected". However the resolution with 16bits and +/-10V range would be 305uV. How can this "sensitivity" be smaller than the resolution?
Thanks a lot!

HI,
here is a white paper that explains the jargon of NI specifications.
You are right with the resolution: so the smallest detectable CHANGE is 305 µV.
But the smallest value detected by the device is 91,6 µV.
For most application the resolution is the more important factor.
Hope I could help you.

Anna
