Syncronizing ADC clock and DIO clock

Hi Drew,

This may or may not help, but I had been cooking this up while Kevin was helping you out. It’s an example of how to synchronize your AI and DO. I started with the shipping example “Multi-Function-Synch AI-AO” found in the Example Finder under “Hardware Input and Output » DAQmx » Synchronization » Multi-Function”. You can pair any of the DAQmx » Digital Generation examples for the DO. Depending of what you want as your output, there are a few different choices.

I tried inserting the delay (2s) but it had no effect as predicted.  I also changed the initial delay to 5, but that didn't help each.  As for the exact number of cycles that the fast clock is going through, lots... i don't have a very good scope so it's hard to set a trigger to get the exact number, but lets just say it looks like more than 20.  I also added a stop and clear task for the counters just to make sure that something fishy wasn't happening there.

Any other ideas?

Well... Looks like its time to get a new scope (or at least learn how to use this old piece!)... I made a VI that used the NIDAQ to sample the clocks and everything works perfectly.  Thanks for all the help!

Hello everybody,

 I need to provide DO to the a multipexer (Pressure scanner with 16 Pressure lines , 1 AO and 4 DI) to select the desired pressure channel, give it time to settle before I sample the AI in my DAQ card. I have the following hardware :-

1.PXI Chassis 1052,

2. PXI 6221 DAQ card

3. Labview 7.1 with Win XP

Looking for valuable suggestions.

Here was that example saved in LabVIEW 8.0. I was in out of the office and missed this post. Sorry.
