Hi,
I would like to I can acquire the following data with USB-5133 module.
Please see the attached file to know more detail.
I want to make sure it is possible before I buy this product.
Basically, I need 30,000,000 points data on USB-5133 module.
I understand there is 32MB/ch memory on this product.
However, I am not sure how many memory USB-5133 needs for 1 data.
The resolution of this module is 8bits. So, is it 8bits on the memory?
Thank you!

Hi narutohaba,
You are correct that the USB-5133 acquires samples and saves each data as 8bits on the onboard memory.
Therefore, theoretically, the USB-5133 can acquire 30,000,000 samples with the 32MB/ch option.
However, you also need to consider the time that it takes for the USB-5133 to send the data to the PC, as you plan to acquire this much data at least every 17ms. USB cannot handle that much data in such a short period of time and therefore, you will need to consider different options.
I suggest using a different bus; PCI if you have a desktop PC, or even better; PXI if you plan to use more devices/channels in the future. PXI is a modular platform that allows multiple connections that a PC will not mostly be able to provide and it also includes synchronization features between modules that makes measurement a whole lot more diverse.
National Instruments provides PCI and PXI digitizers that should be able to meet your requirements so I recommend looking at the products listed in the page below:
High-Speed Digitizers/Oscilloscopes
If you also plan to stream data for an extended period of time, you might also want to look at our RAID products.
I am sure if you contact the sales team in the NI office nearest to you, they should be able to help you out further.
