The system requirements for using the USB-6008 can be found in the readme file for DAQmx. Your processor meets the minimum requirement.
The USB-6008 has been designed for USB 2.0. USB 1.1 will limit the transfer rates as mentioned in this Knowledge Base, however in testing this effect is small. You may find that you are able to achieve the full speed of the USB-6008 (10kS/s) with your system. The best way to find out is to try it. Since the maximum sampling rate is system dependent, other factors such as the programs you are running in the background (i.e. virus scanners) may affect the speeds you can achieve.
