USB-6008OEM with Screw Terminal I/Os?

Hi.  I would like to use the USB-6008OEM in my application, but need screw terminal I/Os.  Can anyone recommend an adapter cable, either one which does directly to a terminal block or to bare wires which I can use in a terminal block?

I cannot use the non-OEM version because of the type of USB connector it has, unfortunately.

thanks,

Ali

Hello Ali,

National Instruments does not make a screw terminal cabling solution for the USB-6008OEM, however, I believe any standard 100 mil 34-pin ribbon cable will work.  You could use one of these cables to make a connector block or use bare wires there.

Also, in the USB-6008OEM manual, we do give a part number for a motherboard mounting kit on page 5 (and all the part numbers for these components are on page 7).

As far as I know, the USB connectors on both the USB-6008 and the USB-6008OEM are identical; the OEM just isn't in the casing.  Are you sure that the non-OEM version won't work for you?  I just want to make sure so that you don't needlessly make a connector.

I hope this helps, and have a great day!

Hi!  Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!  It is actually not the type of USB connector which is causing the issue, it is the fact that in the Non-OEM version the connector is flush with the NI case, and I need it to be accessible from the outside of our case...

I contacted 3M just a little while ago and they gave me the part number for the wire mount socket which will fit in the DAQ's header.  It is 3414-6000 (in case anyone else ever needs one).

thanks!
