USB-6009 not installing drivers under WinXP

Hello. I am attempting to install a USB-6009 on a WinXP installation on a Mac. I am running LabVIEW 2009 Student Edition, and have installed DAQmx 9.2.1. When connected, XP detects the USB-6009, but when it tries to install the drivers, it says it cannot find them. I have reinstalled DAQmx and LabVIEW to see if I had a broken installation. I have tried this under both VMWare Fusion, and directly booting into WinXP via bootcamp, but no success. Any ideas? Thank you.

Do you have any files in Program Files\National Instruments\NI-DAQ\staging\niem ??

Can you tell Windows to use the inf file located in that directory?  What happens?
