USB 6009 sample rate for N channels

The USB 6009 max sample rate is 48k S/S. My question is, does this scale down proportionally for N channels, where N is not a power of 2?

Specifically, if I set up six (6) channels for acquisition, while my sample rate be 48k/6 = 8k S/S? Or will it need to be reduced to 48k/8?

If you set the DAQmx task to read 6 channels, it will read only those 6 at whatever rate you set, up to the max aggregate rate.  So yes, 8kS/s.
