USB-6221, serial number N/A

Hi,

I've installed the same USB-6221 device on two computers together with DAQmx 8.8 drivers. Serial number of the device cannot be seen on one of them. MAX shows "N/A".

Configuration:

Computer 1: Windows XP SP 3, DAQmx 8.8, Developer Suite 8.6, serial number is O.K.

Computer 2: Windows XP SP 2, DAQmx 8.8, LV RunTime Engine 8.6, serial number N/A

 The same data aqcusition application works on both of them.

I would need some help to clarify what's going wrong.

Have you tried using LabVIEW to get the serial number?

Under DAQmx if you go to DAQmx Device Property Node then Identification and Device Serial Number. Does it work on the second machine? 

As for why MAX works for one and not the other - Im not sure.. if the code works what is the issue?

Have you got the same version of MAX installed?

In fact, I'm not well today. I've got flu and I'm warmed up to 38,5 degrees. I will chech everything once again when I'm back in my office.
