I have a cDAQ 9172 Chassis running with Labview 8.6 on Windows XP. About half the time the computer does not recognize the device. When plugged in, the computer says "USB device not recognized" and it says the device has malfunctioned. When this happens, the active light is amber and the ready light is off. I have tried on 2 different computers and when one doesn't recognize it, neither does the other and vice versa, so it is not a problem with the computer. I try turning the device on and off, restarting the computer etc and it does nothing, but eventually the device will just start working again.
Does anybody have any advice on this? I appreciate any help.
