We are using the DAQ6211 in an instrumentation lab at VT. All of students have their drivers up to date, and the USB6211 is working well for all input channels. However, some students are having issues with the analog output. When we use the DAQ assistant, the options panel pops up for the input channels. When we add a DAQ assistant for outputting a voltage, it seems like 20% of the students don't get the options panel. It will pop up a window, but it is blank except for the help column on the right. The problem is not localized to an individual DAQ, and we have tried unplugging the DAQ, deleting it from the Measurement and Automation program, then re-initializing it. We have had limited success with restarting LabView (that has fixed it twice out of about 8 occurrences). I have asked them to reinstall the drivers, but if anyone has seen this problem before, any information would be helpful.

This may be related to a redraw issue we've seen once before.
Next time the DAQ Assistant configuration window pops up blank can you try resizing the window a little and see if that forces it to redraw correctly.
What version of DAQmx do you have installed? You can look for it in the software section in the left hand pane in Measurement and Automation explorer.
What operating system are you using?

Kristen,
I contacted one of the students who had the problem. We tried resizing the window and that didn't help. Comparing my drivers to his does show some differences. They are as follows:
Working computer --> DAQmx (9.2.3), NI System Config (1.1.3), OS (32-bit Windows 7)
Broken computer --> DAQmx (9.2.2), NI System Config (1.1.1), OS (64-bit Windows 7, running 32-bit LabView)
I hope this helps to narrow it down? If needed, I can take a screen shot of what is showing up if that would be beneficial.
Thanks again,
Matt Rasnick

Hmm. We shipped the same version of the DAQ Assistant in DAQmx 9.2.3 and 9.2.2.
Do you know what versions of LabVIEW they were using on the working and broken computers?
I think a screenshot would be helpful if you are able to get one.
