Using the USB 9161 and USB 9162 with the NI 9211

Hello,

   I have been trying to work with an NI 9211 connected to an NI USB-9161 and NI USB-9162 module.  Can I use two NI 9211s with different chassis (USB-9161 and USB-9162) at the same time with LabView?

  After reading the suggested attachments to your reply, I want to make sure I understand...

  The USB 9161 cannot run on DAQmx, it requires DAQmx Base (which I had known from reading the forum entry before sending this email).  The USB 9162 uses the DAQmx Base.  So, to answer my question, both of the chassis CANNOT be used at the same time?  I have two NI 9211 data loggers but when we ordered the chassis to go with the loggers, we recieved one USB 9161 and one USB 9162 to go with the two NI 9211 data loggers.  The plan is to use them both to take temperature readings for our equipment at the same time.

Hello,

It is possible to have NI-DAQmx Base 2.2 and the latest NI-DAQmx installed at the same time. I'd suggest trying this, then try using both chassis at the same time, ensuring that you use NI-DAQmx Base 2.2 to access the NI 9211, and NI-DAQmx to access the NI9211A (The A means it comes with the 9162 carrier instead of 9161).
