VI optimisation, sampling rate speed

Hi Dermot,

Thanks for your fast answer. You can se the VI in my first post and in the second I tried to explain what’s happening and what the goal is. More exactly we are move with sensors (2 analog and 2 digital) over a surface with objects and we would like to collect the data from them with time stamp and info about  the position which is measured with an incremental sensor (counter in the VI). After the acquisition we are analysing the data.

In the next step we would like to do the data acquisition and analysis online, so the improvement of the speed is necessary. The posted VI working without any problem just the acquisition speed should be higher. Can you suggest some improvement, please?

Hello Zolee,

I would suggest to use a PCMCIA card than. You can get better rates polling the counter with these devices. I just made a test and achieved rates of 500 Hz and more - but not deterministic, because of windows. So from time to time the loop waits several milliseconds..

I don't think you can improve any more with a DAQPAD.
