Hello. I have two separate and unreleated things I want to ask about the WLS-9163.
The first thing is that I need to be able to power the WLS-9163 using batteries, but my tech needs to know where we can acquire some 2 pin Phoenix connectors to accomplish this.
Secondly, I am having some issues with connectivity with the WLS-9163. I am able to connect fine to our router wirelessly (we are using a Dlink DIR-615), and it assigns an IP address. However, the ping times are extremely large (it often time outs, or has pings greater than 500 ms), and I am not able to collect any data due to timeout problems. However, when I take the antenna off of the WLS-9163, the ping times are reduced to a few ms, and I am able to collect data at upwards of 5k on four channels without any kind of timeout issues. This leads me to think that the antenna itself may be picking up ambient noise which is affecting the transmitted signal. Is there any way to mitigate this?

I can help with the first query, Mouser has some, Allied is out of stock, none at Newark (the P/N is in the manual):

Thanks AnalogKid…
We solved the second problem as well. The router was set up to automatically set a broadcast channel, and I guess when the WLS card was transmitting, it caused the router to try to change channels. Setting to a fixed channel solved the problem.
