What Firewire supported by NI

I've not been able to run my 6052 and a common firewire card together.  For some reason the firewire card crashes LabView 8.2.  Does anyone know what brand and model number of firewire card is compatible?  TIA

What I’m going to do is to point you to some resources I have found on National Instruments website that might help you.  But before let me make sure I have the correct facts, you have a: NI DAQPad-6052E for FireWire that you’re a connecting to a firewire card, my guess a PCI-firewire, right? Does LabVIEW crashes when it opens or when you are making call to the card? Also can you tell me which version of Traditional DAQ drivers do you have? It can also be an issue with the firewire card and we can isolate this possibility by connecting the card to a different firewire card. My last question is your card recognize in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX)?
