What does a 'Labview load error code 8' mean?

I've installed a PowerDAQ PD2-MF-16-400/14H board, but all the examples that came with the installation give the following error message:
Resource not found. An error occured loading VI 'PD ... VI'
LabVIEW load error code 8: Could not load VI resource.

It sounds like these examples were written in a newer version of LabVIEW than you are using. I would verify, with the company that provides these VIs, that your version of LabVIEW is not older than the version in which they have been saved.
