Where is Funtion -> Analysis -> Waveform Measurements palette for labview 6.1?

The analysis function is missing in my labview 6.1 program. There is no box in the functions menu for analysis, it is just blank. Is this because I installed labview wrong? Any ideas?
Thanks,
Tyler

Hello Tyler,

This problem can definitely be caused by a bad install. However before you try uninstalling and reinstalling, you should try to add the Analysis palette manually. Directions for adding icons manually can be found at:
http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/E430983BC9197D4786256C3E0073540B?OpenDocument
If this does not work, the problem is probably with the installation and you will need to reinstall.

Caroline,
When I go to the edit portion of the functions pallete, it brings up a question mark box where the analysis box is supposed to be and when i right click on it, the insert label is greyed out. Any ideas? Can I just download the analysis toolset from somewhere on your site?
Thanks,
Tyler

Tyler,

There is actually no place to just download the toolset. At this point it looks like something went wronf in your installation. The best approach now is to uninstall and reinstall so that there are no holes in your installation.

Caroline,
I read on one of the other posts you need to have the professional version of 6.1 and not the Base version like I have to use the analysis toolset? Is this true? Is there an updgrade available?

Hello Tyler,

I am sorry. I should have checked to see if you were running the Base version in the beginning.
You are right in that Base does not include the Analysis palette. You can view what functions are included in the Base, Full, and Professional Development systems on the LabVIEW Products and Specification page at:
http://www.ni.com/pdf/products/us/3msw43-52_76.pdf

You can also view the what add on toolkits are available at:
http://www.ni.com/support/labview/lvtool.htm#pda

Finally, you can upgrade grade your software either by calling our sales department at (888) 280-7645 or by visiting our upgrade website at:
http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/webcategories/85256410006C055586256BBB002C1065?opendocument&node=132060_US

If you decide to upgrade, you will only be able to upgrade to our newest version of LabVIEW 7.1. However, LV 7.1 has more functionality and new express vis that make programming that much easier.

Thanks,
Caroline
