Why doesn't MAX see my PCI-6052E card (it does appear in Device Manager)

I have installed the PCI-6052E card. Windows 2000 detects the card, but when I start MAX, it doesn't appear. I tried deleting the drivers from Device Manager but that didn't help (Windows re-detected it, but MAX did not!). I also tried re-installing MAX (and all other NI software at the same time!) and it appeared in MAX after the first re-boot, but not subsequently!

Have you tried to refresh MAX by pressing F5? Sometimes if you've installed a new piece of hardware and MAX hasn't been refreshed, the device won't show up in MAX. This would be a nice and quick solution, so I thought I would mention that first.

What version of NI-DAQ are you using? NI-DAQ 7.0 is the newest version of NI-DAQ that supports the PCI-6052E. If you have an older version of NI-DAQ, I would suggest to uninstall the older version and download/install NI-DAQ 7.0 (with the PCI-6052E out of the computer) from the link below.

I hope this helps. Have a good weekend.

Sorted, thanks. I'd previously used the card on another machine but never had the need to refresh MAX, so it didn't cross my mind to try it....in fact, cancelling the 'refresh' option on startup has become a reflex action!

Many thanks,
Ash.
