Why is my digital line in always reading low?

For some reason, my dio line in is aways reading low on my current application. I have several dio line outs that work properly, but the dio line ins do not. I tested the input line in Max, where it worked correctly. I also copied and pasted my dio vi into a new file and it worked correctly. Why will it not work in my current application?

Hello bradle95,

Thank you for your inquiry regarding dio lines. It sounds like your dio input lines are always low. In this situation more information about your system configuration would help. Was the dio vi that you mentioned, from LabVIEW or did you create it? If you have an SCXI chassis configured as one of your devices in MAX, this will reserve DIO lines 0, 1, 2, and 3. In this case one possible solution may be to either use one of the remaining lines or remove the chassis in order to use these lines.

Also, if you are using an E-Series Board connected to a DAQ Signal Accessory, DIO line 6 will always appear low. This is because DIO line 6 is also the up/down input for the STC counter and is connected to phase B of the encoder knob. See the E-Series User
Manual for more information. This
