Windows XP crash error messages indicate nipalk to have problems

I'm interested in this as well. I have a USB-6009, and I'm trying to use NI-DAQmx Base for now because I switch between the Mac and Windows-in-a-VM environment (I'm making DAQmxBase work with the ruby language and I need to test both).

So I've installed the Mac NI-DAQmxBase package on both the Mac and the Windows sides.
And I have the DAQmxBase firmware installed on the USB-6009.

I find that when I use the VISA control panel I get timeouts on viRead  (the viWrite works OK).
I test this by using viWrite to send an *IDN? request and then switch to viRead and try to read the response.

On the other hand, the Datalogger app works OK (I've tried it at 40000 S/s; at 48K it can't quite make the bandwidth).

AFAIK, I have the most recent version of NI-DAQmxBase (2.20f0), NI-VISA (4.1) and Parallels Desktop (3.0 build 4160).

Hi Nedkonz and others

I just want to tell that I have tried running the VI on a PC with Windows XP. No errors what so ever. So the problem is in Parallels, and upgrading to 3.0 has not helped. I'm in a university, so I also ahve other projects and teaching...and won't be back on this one before after newyear. Anyway, I'm still interested in getting it to work, and I'm considering to use Bootcamp with the new OS-Leopard. This might solve the problem...but then of course I'm not able to run mac-programs along.
