Hello Forum.
I am using the following equipment from National Instruments:
NI WLS 9163
NI 9219
I set 9163 as the NI WLS wireless system through an ad hoc network.
I and acquiring the values of resistance (voltage with custom Excitation) of load cells wired in full bridge.
Everything works!
However, the acquisition rates are very low!
I can not get acquisitions with more than 2 Hz (high resolution)!
Will can help me on the following issues:
This is because the equipment I am using?
How can I change that with this equipment?
There is another wireless system from NI, with better results for this application?
I appreciate the help!
(Not sure if this is the most suitable place, also posted in Wireless Sensor Networks)
Hello,
What kind of problem do you have if you choose to get data at a higher rate than 2Hz ?
Which version of DAQmx do you use?
Could you post a screenshot of your configuration in MAX and tell us which IDE do you use? Is it LabVIEW?
Do you have a VI to post?

I've not worked with the 9163 not the 9219, but I doubt 2 Hz is the fastest data rate.
Perhaps the problem is with configuration, or your acquiring code. Can you tell us more about your setup configuration, and perhaps provide us with your code?

Hello,
I am using the system NI WLS 9163 with the acquisition board 9219.
(in future I intend to use the system 9219)
I actually have a very simple VI just to test the speed of acquisition. Have the function of a scale, and only measures the strength. I then pictures:
(1 and 2)
Use the following parameters:
(3 and 4)
But in spite of acquisition board (9219) allow 100 acquisitions per secondjust I can the following rates of acquisition (continuous samples):
ADC Timing Mode |
Samples To Read |
Rate (Hz) |
High Resolution |
1 |
2 |
High Speed |
1 |
100 |
Best 50 Hz Rejection |
1 |
7 |
Best 60 Hz Rejection |
1 |
9 |
I need a rate of 10/15 acquisitions per second. But with the high speed option, the results are very unstable.
Is possible raise the rate of acquisition in the high resolution option?
When I put a value greater than 2 Hz (high resolution) the following error appears:
5
Thanks!

Hello,
I was about to answer the same thing as Thoric.
On page 25 of the NI 9219 Operating Instructions and Specifications, there is the same information :
So assuming that you're not using any channel in TC mode, the maximum rate at a High resolution is 1 / 0,5 = 2 Hz

Ok
It all makes sense now.
I did not know this page.
Thank you, Thoric and JérémyC.
