after upgrading from win98 to win2000, my pci6024E returns a -10401 error from measurement & automation explorer, and also from functions included with cvi. Windows recognizes the card correctly and says that it is working normally. Changing the ACPI/HAL setting in the windows 2000 install had no effect. Removing other pci devices had no effect.
Thanks for your help.

Hello Ethan. Thank you for contacting National Instruments. The error that you are receiving often means that the device is configured incorrectly in the Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX). Refresh MAX by hitting F5. If this doesn't work you probably need to update your driver. Some versions of NI-DAQ work for both Win98 and Win2000, but most do not. I recommend taking your PCI-6024E card out of your computer, uninstalling NI-DAQ (Add/Remove Programs from the Control Panel), downloading the newest version of NI-DAQ (ni.com/support), and putting the card back in your computer. Hope this helps! Have a great day!
