analog input using DAQ card PCIDAS1602/16

Hi,

i want to acquire continous signal using a single DAQ card. The input channel that i use to test the program is a function generator.

My problem is that instead of having a waveform i just have a flat line.

Can anyone help me regarding this matter?

Hello Mutah,

I would like to help you with your issue?

  1. In your graph on the Front Panel, what voltage is your flat line at?
  2. What function (sine, square, etc) are you passing your Analog Input and at what Frequency and Amplitude?
  3. Have you checked the manual for your PCI hardware to see that you are wiring the signal in correctly?

I found that it was a problem with the DAQ card.

I changed it and now the analogue input program works wee.

thanks .

Hello Mutah,

I am glad to hear that you now have it all working.  The hardware you are using seems to have a matching specification, on paper at least, as the NI PCI-6221, which why I thought I might have a few ideas.  If you are thinking of swapping cards again, you may want to have a look at this product, too.
