cDAQ69171 + NI9402 detection problem (MAX+labVIEW)

hello !

I use the NI 9402 board to generate a single pulse, with the 9171 chassis.

I received it a few days ago, installed it as specified (driver first etc.), and everything worked pretty good ! I designed a Labview application corresponding to my attempts in an hour, LabVIEW is such an good software 🙂

anyway, today those devices (chassis + usb slot) where not accessible anymore through my application. MAX could find them but not commmunicate with them.

I tried to restart my computer, to disconnect/ reconnect the slot etc... and now I deleted the ni9402 from MAX and I can't add it anymore.

the only difference between today and yesterday is that today I first connected an oscilloscope to the computer (GPIB), but I removed it and it didn't change anything...

I searched in the forum and found some similar issues, but it didn't helped me to solve the problem, which is however quitte common I think.

thanks for help, and i hope my english is understoodable 🙂

Hi zeyol,

Thank you for posting on National Instruments' forum.

Can you make a screenshot of the message occured? Your version of your DAQmx drivers are 9.4?

thanks for responding

My version of the DAQmx drivers is 9.5.

I attached the screenshot of MAX, it contains a link to this page :

http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/EDA23D2970BD16C6862577D70006E3CA

but in my opinion it doesn't correspond to my problem, I don't encounter the behaviour described in this page...

regards

Did you try to download and install the hotfix?

no, because I don't have the admin rights on my computer so it takes a few time, but I'm doing it

actually I can now comunnicate with the device but the same error appears, I think it's due to the restart of my computer...

it's quitte annoying : sometimes it work, sometimes it doesn't...

but I always get this message shown in the attached file
