Not sure if you have received a solution yet, but hope this helps!
In addition to the cRIO driver, you will need to install the same versions of LabVIEW and LabVIEW real time. Depending on the types of modules you are using in the chassis you may also need to install the LabVIEW FPGA module. Once the software is installed to your computer it should show up in the add/remove software wizard. If you plan to use the second ethernet port on the cRIO-9074 to connect a slave chassis (ex NI-9144 or 45), you will also need to install the same version of NI-Industrial Communications for EtherCAT driver and the LabVIEW FPGA Module.
Once installed to your computer, they should be available for install to your target in MAX. All software and driver versions must match, or there may be communication issues between the computer and target. NI recommends software is installed in the following order: LabVIEW, LabVIEW real time, LabVIEW FPGA module, NI CompactRIO Device Drivers, NI-Industrial Communications for EtherCAT.

Thanks for the reply. The older (VxWorks) cRIO controllers are not supported after LabVIEW 2019. I was using 2022 version. Once I installed 2019 and used it, this fixed the problem.
