I have a very simple NI USB-6008 data acquisition card. I hooked it up and started using DAQ Assistant with it and noticed that i cant get the signal to split. While looking into this issue i noticed that the connection diagram isn't correct. It show signal one coming from pin 1 and 2 (should be pin 0 and 1), signal 2 (4,5), 3 (7,8), etc. Signal 5 comes from the voltage difference between pins 2 and 3. That means it is looking for two signals off on of the same pins. My question is two fold. Can this routing diagram be changed (i couldnt find out how) and is this the reason i cannot split the signal down the road? If it is not then what else should i do to be able to split the signal coming out of the DAQ Assistant?
Thanks,
Chris Sprague

I am not sure where you are seeing this. Can you post a screenshot of the connection diagrams? Also, you can open up the Device Pinouts diagram for each device by right-clicking on the device in MAX and selecting Device Pinouts.
- What configuration are you using? RSE or Differential?
- If we are talking about the same connection diagram, then it cannot be changed.
- What exactly do you mean by split the signal? Using the Split Signals node?

Hi Chris,
The 6008 does not have pin zero. The terminals start at Terminal 1. You can see the pinout for the device in the product manual located here. Have you tried measuring anything yet to see if the connection diagram is correct? The linked manual will show where to connect signals for both single ended and differential.
