controlling solenoid valve

Hi

I want to read analog signal from a potentiometer (0~1V), and according to this I will send a signal through two channel to a solenoid valve (these two CH send a digital signal 0-24V)

Help me to find a suitable device for this project and to make the VI using LabVIEW8

See the attachment

Thanks

Hi diver2020,

Thank you for posting to the National Instruments forums.  There are several products from our Isolated M Series product line that should work for you application.  These are listed below.

NI-6239

NI-6238

NI-6233

NI-6232

All of these devices come in the PCI and the PXI format.  If the application that you’ve specified will cover the entire scope of the project, then the PCI versions should suit your needs just fine.  But if you do expect your system’s channel count or general functionality to increase, you may consider going with a PXI chassis for extra expandability.

Below is a link to a product page that I’ve created by going through our online product selector.

For other products, feel free to check out this feature of ni.com.

As far as programming the application in LabVIEW is concerned, I would recommend just creating an Analog Input task, and use software logic to output the digital value.  Check out the DAQmx examples in the LabVIEW Example Finder (Help menu >> Find Examples…).

Post back if you have any further questions.  Good luck with your application.

You should be sure to check the current requirements for the solenoid valves. When I have done this I have used a solid state relay and an external source to control the solenoid valve. Alternatively you can use an NI relay box.
