daq card 700 not detected in MAX

Hi, I've seen other thread about this but i couldn't get any clear solution. I'm trying to install a PCMCIA Daq card 700 on an XP machine.

We have Labview 6.1 here at the company and max version is 3.1. I've installed NI-DAQ 6.9.3 after uninstalling the previous NI-DAQ.

Windows has recognized the device and shows it under "Data Acquisition Devices" in device manager, but MAX can't find it

Please help me with this!

As another concern, a further goal with this is to use the card within matlab with the data acquisition toobox. Is this going to work?

Nevertheless, I still need to install it.

Thank you

Hi,

If memory serves, this device is supported under NI-DAQ Traditional only.  It'll work with Data Acquisition Toolbox, if you run NI-DAQ 6.9.3.

See http://www.mathworks.com/products/daq/supportedio14005.html for a list of hardware supported.

So are you telling me I don't need to see it in MAX to use it in Matlab?

I'd still like to be able to check the pinout and do some tests in MAX, just to be sure i'm building from a working setup.

Any clue to why I don't see it?

What version of NI-DAQ was previously installed?  Was MAX uninstalled when you reverted the driver?  If not and the process below does not work, then I would uninstall both MAX and NI-DAQ to ensure there is not a conflict between the two.  This would allow NI-DAQ 6.9.3 to install MAX and ensure an expected version is installed.  Hopefully this helps!

Go to the Control Panel»Performance and Maintenance»System (or Control Panel»System). Select the Hardware Tab. Select the Device Manager button, and select Other Devices. Right click the devices listed in Other Devices, and select the Driver tab. Select Update Driver…. When the driver has been loaded, go to MAX and press F5 or go to View»Refresh to refresh MAX.

Respected Sir,

I am new learner of this area.

I am using labview 5.1, fieldpoint FP 1000, NI-DAQ 6.5, Field point explorer version 1.6, Measurement and Automation Explorer 1.0.1.

my probelm "connection to acquisition board was not found" when i run labview program is due to DAQ board was not there in my CPU, so o plan to purchase NI-DAQ board.

I also have labview 8.2 (since labview 5.1 compatability with 8.2), field point 5.0.1, NI-DAQ 6.9.3.

In my old computer in MAX >> DEVICE AND INTERFACE >> I saw AT-A0-10, but i do not know how to caarried out test panel.

I also heard

NI-DAQ 700 card is used in  NI-DAQ  driver 6.6 on labview 5.1 operating windows 95.
also
NI-DAQ 700 card is used in  NI-DAQ  driver 6.9.3 on labview 8.2 operating windows XP.

I would kindly request you to please help me which NI-DAQ board is suitable for me.

I do not know how many signals i need to acquire to buy NI-DAQ card.

Thanking You

Yours faithfully

M. Vijay
