daq reset after regular intervals

Hi,

Currently I am using NI 6071E Daq Card, connected to 5 analog channels reading external sensors. 

the drivers seemed to work fine for a while.

however quite recently the values read from the DAQ card read '0' values for a

few micro seconds and get back to normal . the external sensors are also working perfectly fine.

This happens very abruptly and does not follow a regular pattern.

could any one suggest how this could be prevented .

Is it possible that your task is continuous and your buffer is on the edge of overflowing?  Just a guess.
