daq voltage output for control of external device

Hi all,

I have been using LabView 8.5 to acquire data from a USB multifunction DAQ module (1608FS from MCC DAQ).  However I now want to use this same device to control a optical shutter as well as detect the shutter position sensor.  Can this be done using this device in LabView?

I have had no proble in the aqcuisition side however I have not been able to generate any output voltages can any body help in this matter.

Can your device support e.g. analog output? or DO? I couldnt locate your product, however check product the manual. If it does, you can find labview examples that will help you with voltage generation. In the labview help search for generation 😉

According to my quick google search this device is listed as

DAQ Module with Eight, 16-Bit Analog Inputs and Eight Digital I/O Lines

So there is no analog outputs only digital outputs.
