event message functions in pci-6013

I'm using a PCI-6013 card and VB,I need to receive one event when the digital input has one specific value, Could I work with event message functions ( Traditional Ni-Daq Functions )in Visual Basic whith the General DAQ Event ActiveX and Digital input signals.

This application is commonly referred to as Pattern Matching and cannot be done in hardware with the PCI-6013. However, this can be done in software by using boolean logic. Hope this helps.
