Hi

On a USB-4431 is there any filtering/anti-aliasing thats applied to the output channels and if there is can it be altered?

Thanks

Nirvtek,

I cannot say definitely but the specifications make no mention of any filtering.  The amplitude and phase flatness specs make it seem unlikely that there is any filtering with cutoff frequencies close to the sampling rates.

I have seen statements by NI personnel regarding other devices that they do not include anti-aliasing filters because there are so many combinations.  Something which worked well for some customers would be problematic for others.

For the second time today, I have to say it is important to read the manual. The filters on the input and output are well described.

If you going to use an expensive piece of measurement hardware, there is simply no excuse to just ignore the documentation and post elementary questions here.

Dennis,

Thanks.  The Specifcations document does not even hint that the anti-aliasing filters are there. They are described quite nicely in the manual.

Sorry I should've downloaded the manual.

Will do that the next time.
