Here is the thing..I don't think you can run your 5.1 code in the new Labview environment independent of your OS. To keep the hardware the same (SCXI and Daq card) you are going to have to continue using Traditional DAQ. I say this because I am in the same scenario where I will have to recode using DAQmx when I upgrade Labview and Windows OS.
