have labview 8.2 what ver of ni rio?

I have Labview 8.2 and a pxi/scxi chassis. Working fine. Have received another panel/system with cRio- 9012.
MAX doesn't recognize it. Understand I need to down load other software. What software & version?
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,

In order for your cRIO-9012 to show up in MAX you will need NI-RIO 2.1.0 or newer (2.4.1 is the newest).

In order to develop VIs to run on an FPGA (I am assuming you have more than just the 9012 controller!) you will need to have the LabVIEW FPGA Module installed.  Furthermore, to make use of the controller by running the LabVIEW real-time operating system on it, you will need the LabVIEW Real-Time Module also installed.  The Real-Time module will need to be the same version as your LabVIEW (8.2).

You can check out all software/version requirements for your specific chassis and modules here.

Note: Install any needed Modules, then install NI-RIO.

Hope this helps!
